Welcome to our destinations section. Vietnam is an enormously varied and diverse country; the soaring, terraced mountains of the northern border with China couldn't be further removed from the fertile expanse of the southern Mekong Delta. Vietnam’s great cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are vibrant, chaotic and fun. They stand as testament to the success of recent economic development, and yet are only a few hours drive from impenetrable jungle, palm-fringed beaches, and traditional minority regions where life continues much as it has for preceding centuries.
The pace of life in neighbouring Cambodia and Laos is altogether more relaxed, and with cultural treasures including the remarkable temples of Angkor and the magical town of Luang Prabang; glorious scenery and welcoming people, combining one or other of these with a visit to Vietnam offers a rich and wonderful contrast.
